Sherri Hanson posing

Sherri Hanson is a mission-driven leader, mentor, and community advocate with a lifelong commitment to service, innovation, and empowering others. With more than 30 years of leadership experience across federal service, private industry, and nonprofit work, she brings a unique blend of strategic insight, operational expertise, and heart-centered leadership to every organization she supports. Throughout her career supporting national defense organizations including the United States Air Force and Army, Sherri led large multidisciplinary teams, developed data and technology strategies, and championed initiatives that strengthened organizations and the people within them. Her passion, however, has always extended beyond professional achievements to building stronger communities and investing in the next generation. Sherri's nonprofit experience includes international service with Campus Crusade for Christ, where she led educational outreach and community programs, and ongoing volunteer leadership supporting STEM education, mentorship, and philanthropy initiatives throughout Texas. Known for her collaborative spirit and ability to bring people together around a shared mission, Sherri is passionate about helping nonprofit organizations grow their impact, strengthen communities, and create lasting change. A San Antonio native, she holds graduate degrees in Strategic Studies and Computer Information Systems from Air War College and St. Mary's University, and a bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She has served on the UTSA Board of Advisors for the College of Engineering as well as the Board of Advisors for the Cyber College at the Air Force Institute of Technology. She is an active member of Impact San Antonio, a women's collective grant-making organization committed to expanding philanthropy in San Antonio. In her spare time, Sherri enjoys mentoring students, supporting community initiatives, staying active in service-focused organizations and adventurous international travel.
